I had been scammed by other silk stores, so I was glad to find this. They have Chinese silk scarf/Habotai (in a few bolt widths 45", 54" in addition to others as I recall) and natural color silk dupioni (54" bolts). They have a variety of silk weights (momme) and provide typed/labeled swatches (LOVE THAT) whereas other companies have been fussy about doing this. Not a huge selection of silk thread, but have some/enough.
It is primarily a craft store with an insane amount of supplies to do silk painting/dying but they have a whole wall of silks. You'll want to do silk painting after you see how many options you have.
They have good soaps go washing silks and washable fabric pencils.
The customers service is the best I've had anywhere in a long time. I love it when you find someone who is as personable/adorable as they are smart and educated in their craft! Can we clone her? I learned so much at G&S and finally wasn't intimidated to ask naive questions. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
