Finding a barbershop that isn't an overpriced salon in disguise is tough. Discovering a genuine old-school barbershop is even harder. A real barbershop used to be a linchpin of the community. Instead they have slowly faded into obscurity due to old barbers retiring and new hairstylists abandoning the barber arts. When I first walked into All Textures, I knew I was in the right place. They were welcoming from the moment you opened the door, their relaxed atmosphere reassuring you of your decision. There was an energy in the air fueled by jokes, discussions about current events, and a general trading of ideas. My turn in the chair did not disappoint. Tight cuts, hot towels, and straight razor detailing. It reminded me of the places I grew up going to back in Miami. Even the smell of talcum powder and aftershave made me nostalgic. This is a great barbershop. The prices are reasonable and the staff well versed in the barber arts. My only regret is not having found this place sooner.
