I guess I'm the unlucky one in all these reviews, but I'm going to talk about my experience anyway. I found the car that I was looking for here and after shopping around, I decided to go here because not only was it the least expensive, it also had the least amount of miles. Since I didn't want to purchase BRAND new just yet (I JUST got my score high enough so that a bank would not only take me seriously but also offer me a very good interest rate. Coming from having a SUPER low score, you learn quickly about rebuilding and maintaining), I decided that my choice was an awesome way to continue rebuilding. I'll skip all the fat in between and say that I brought my father with me to the dealership because like most other dads, he can find the "wrong" in a vehicle and tell you whether or not you should proceed with purchasing it. Upon close inspection, he noticed that there was rust on the gas struts in the hatch. He then told me that that's an odd place to have rust and said that the only way he could imagine something like that happening is if it was A. involved in undisclosed water damage (which it hadn't because I pulled my OWN CarFax and didn't just rely on the one given to me by the dealership) or B. it came from up north (which it did....Michigan more specifically). I said that I still wanted the vehicle but would like for the gas struts to be replaced. In steps julius. julius advised me that they would not be replacing them but he could "see" if his guys would sand them down to get rid of the rust and repaint them. julius was NOT my sales guy. Apparently he's a manager. Mo was my sales guy. I contacted Mo directly and said "this is your sale. Gas struts cost about $35-40 each to replace. You mean to tell me that you guys would lose my business over gas struts?" He finally spoke with another manager who gave him the greenlight to get it done. After they were replaced, I had another small list of things that i wanted to make sure were okay (i.e., the blinkers, air conditioner/heat, speakers, etc). And Mo seemed frustrated with the fact that I wanted to check these things as opposed to just immediately handing them a check and driving off with the vehicle. He basically told me "we're going to sell this vehicle. we've had this vehicle since Monday for you and we want it off the lot because it is not our brand. So whether you buy it or not, it will be sold." THEN when I went to talk to julius about something I was going to have done to the vehicle via my personal mechanic, I asked him if he would take $200 off the asking price since this is something I would do on my own. The look he gave me was ice cold. My father is a former Marine, so I'm not easily intimidated but that look? Even my friend that was with me said "damn, was he about to throw us out the window or what?" Nonetheless, he said that he wasn't willing to do anything b/c these are things "you chose to do." He then said "you want to pay for this and you're asking me to discount it? Nah, Im not doing that." The ONLY reason I went ahead and got it is b/c my mechanic then offered to do it for free. Even though it's nothing that would effect the drive-ability of the car, it's still something that Inifiniti should've handled before selling a vehicle. In the future, when I AM ready to purchase new, it's definitely not likely that I'll go back to them. I really disliked julius' and mo's "oh well" attitude towards me. It shouldn't matter that I wasn't buying an Inifiniti. I still deserved to be treated with respect and I definitely shouldn't receive looks of frustration JUST because I want to properly/thoroughly inspect a vehicle that was literally getting a check from me. Now the silver lining was Nina (I believe that's her name). She was EXTREMELY nice and made sure to go above and beyond during my final moments at the dealership. But I'll absolutely never shop there for anything again and won't recommend others to do so either. Your (the dealership) desire to get a specific car off your lot because it's NOT your brand doesn't mean that you get to rush customers along, treat them like sh*t when they make a request or ask questions, or act like their business isn't appreciated. So yea, never again. Love my truck though. Would've loved it a lot more if I didn't have to get things done to it. Not necessities but still. PS: I know that you're thinking that I should've just taken my business elsewhere. However, I have been shopping for almost two months for a very specific make, model, and year. I wasn't budging in what I wanted (although for a BRIEF second, I considered a 2016 Ford Mustang but decided to keep my SUV in mind). I got tired of test driving, negotiating with everyone, finding this or that as a reason why I couldn't go with _____ dealership. And maybe impatience is what allowed Infiniti of Charlotte to earn my business, but it's a lesson learned. When I'm ready to get rid of this, I will make sure that I take even MORE time.
