You always hear about how the restaurants back east are so innovative with their flavor and creativity. Little did I know that we have a restaurant in downtown Phoenix that is tucked away in heritage square that is the best meal I've ever had.
I was celebrating the birthday of a boyfriend at the time and I wanted to do go somewhere that was really special and offered a unique taste on Asian food. I drove around the city trying to confuse him and I made reservations through Open Table so we were able to get seated right away. The inside is small but offers a very intimate feel and would be perfect to celebrate any occasion.
I believe that the menu varies throughout the year and the combination of flavors and tapas style dishes allowed us to try a little bit of everything. Our waiter made wonderful recommendations and explained how we should start our meal with lighter dishes and venture of into some of the more intricate dishes later on. I wish I could remember his name because he was amazing!! We had dishes that combined exotic mushrooms, rice, pork belly, and tuna. Each dish was better than the last one and we couldn't pick which one was our favorite at the end.
They honored my wish of not singing happy birthday and they brought out a dessert that was amazing. We had a wonderful time at this restaurant and our meal was even better.
