Afghan is not just a blanket. I need to get out more, I had obviously never had Afghan cuisine before. A picture menu would have been great. I had the vegetarian burani with salad. When I asked what the dressing was I didn't expect it to be "curry cucumber apple" dressing. There's a combination I have yet to try. It was good in an interesting way. The burani was eggplant and other vegetables topped with yogurt sauce and mint. The eggplant was cooked in a spicier sauce. It was an entree of contrasting temperatures and flavors. The hubby got soup and curry chicken. The soup was good, but his curry was utterly amazing. The meat was so tender it was literally melting in my mouth. Everything was very flavorful and well cooked.
