If I have absolutely one weakness when I go to a bakery, it's donuts. I'll order all kinds but find myself typically just having a raised glazed.
I'm sad to say that I wrote this place off the first two times I visited, both in the afternoon when they had sparsely filled cases and no donuts. During those visits I had no idea that was their specialty and the empty cases were not that way on purpose, they were picked clean earlier in the day.
They seemed l have about 20 varieties, nothing crazy, but all looked delicious. Clearly what sets them apart are the soft raised donuts with the slightly crisp "shell." The chocolate covered and glazed were absolutely perfect.
I have a couple more on the box staring at me right now including a raisin fritter and a sour cream donut that look just as delicious.
Cash only and you'll need to arrive early, but not break of dawn by any means. $4 for 6 donuts as of this review which is more than reasonable.
