I've been to other 10 Spot locations, but there's something about the gentle Roncesvalles vibe and the staff I met here that made this my favourite salon in Toronto. I am not a person who feels I "have" to wax, and I usually demand my partner pay for it when I do. I love the tidiness, but SH** GO$$AMN it hurts so much AUGH WHY. This was my first visit anywhere where my eyes didn't even water. I didn't imagine punching my partner, and I didn't let out a single baby seal sound. What is this magic!? 1. Michelle waxed me in about 7 minutes, so efficiently and cheerfully I actually laughed *during* it. 2. They use a magic fancy 'hard wax' that only sticks to hair and is womankind's greatest innovative gift, probably, until male birth control hits the market. It's more expensive than other places, but honestly, avoiding hair removal trauma is worth it. A monthly maintenance package takes off $10, too. BONUS: TV in the waxing room (Fresh Prince). 10/10 Spots. heh.
