I know this place has a bad rep right now, but I had 2 decent experiences so far.
The first experience, they tried to upsell me gas and insurance, and I didn't take the insurance but took the gas. The gas is way cheaper than if you fill in Las Vegas, but the thing is, if you return the tank half empty, you don't get your money back.
The second time I went, I met a cool dude named Vince. I did a same day booking on Kayak because Economy Car Rental turned me away (worst car rental experience I've ever had is with them). So I booked my car at 8:30 am. for a 9 a.m. pickup for $19 SAME day. When I got there at 8:40, Vince took care of me, and I told him I wanted the bare minimum and had took the gas last time but it didn't work out. He doesn't even try to upsell me and instead knocks off $5 off shuttle fees without me asking. So I got a 2 day rental for a corolla for $32 with taxes and fees. There is a $150 deposit in case of damages, but I never had any problems before.
When I got to the lot, there weren't any corollas available, so the worker pointed to a ford focus and said, that one. I got a free upgrade (i think) too!
Very happy with my experience so far. I'll change my review if anything else goes wrong, but I'm going to stay with Fox until something changes. Remember to ask for Vince! He's a cool dude
