I have been a member of 24 hour fitness for almost 6 years now and will not be renewing my membership along with my family. I will no longer be telling family or friends to sign up with 24 hour fitness. I will only have negative things to say about 24 hour fitness after being treated the way was by 3 employees. They were very rude and inconsiderate, Especially ZACHARY SOLAMEN. He was very aggressive the way he spoke to us. He made us feel as if we had done something wrong by bringing a guest to come check out the facilities with us. I invited my brother(my guest) to go check out the new steam room they had remodeled which took them months to get done... But instead of enjoying the steam room and sauna thatI told my brother was %100 times better, we had a horrible experience. This is what happened, I pay for the monthly child care 24 hour offers and last week when I dropped my 3 year old daughter off I noticed a 3 day free pass for a guest. I have been talking to my brother about coming to the gym with me and he has been considering it. My brother has actually been planning to buy a 24hour fitness membership through costco which is I believe $360-$380 for a 2 year pass. So when we arrived I checked in and took my daughter back to the kids club and checked her in. After that my other brother and I went to the steam room figuring that our brother who hasn't bought a pass there yet and was signing up his 3 day free pass. About 15 min later a 24 hour fitness employee Zachary Solamen came into the steam room and asked for my name. I said yes can I help you and he let me know my guest wanted me in the front. So I got up and came out of the steam room when I got out he let me know my guest wanted the keys to my truck, confused I asked why? Did he want to put his wallet in the truck? Zachary said no. Zachary wasn't allowing him into the facility. He could only wait in the waiting area or outside because he was not a member. I said he had a 3 day pass and Zachary let me know that he wasn't allowed to use it and if he wanted to come in he would allow him too if he was to pay him a $20 fee!!!?? I couldn't believe he had said it would be $20 just to sit in the sauna when he had a 3 day free pass. I was very upset and let Zachary know that was a freakin joke and I let him know that is the worst costumer service I have ever encountered. When I told him that's a freakin Joke he asked if I cussed at him and got up closer in my personal space as if to threaten me. I repeated myself again and He said he was just doing his job. After this encounter, I let my other brother who was in the Steam room know we should leave. I went and got my daughter out of the kids club and took her out to the car. I then came back into the facility so I could speak with a manager about what had just happened. I asked the 2 young African American girls at the front desk if I could speak with a manager. Instead of getting me a manager. They started asking me why?? And what's my name and my number I use for my check in ID. I asked them why that's relevant and I let them know that I needed (Zachary Solamens) name. The girls kept refusing to get me a manager and said they were not allowed to give out an employees name. That's fine but not once did they get me a manager. They just kept asking me for my information they acted like it didn't even matter that a guest was so upset, They were disrespectful and very immature about the entire situation. Finally after a few minutes of dealing with the 2 girls in the front, Zachary; who was helping sign up new members stepped up to the front desk. At that point I let him know I needed his information so I could contact corporate about how we were treated. He gave me his name and I left it at that. They never got me a manager. The girls actually told me Zachary was there manager. Which he seemed like a sells guy not a manager. So idk. I pay a payment every month and can't even bring a guest and if I do, I get mistreated. Zachary and the 2 young girls should not be helping customers. They were not professional in any way . It was very childish behavior from all 3 employees. If you live close to this location and are looking for convenience. Go TO LA Fitness off mill ave and southern. After talking to one of my sisters friend I guess, LA fitness welcomes all Guests. I will never talk good about 24 hour fitness again. All thanks to ZACHARY SOLAMEN AND THE 2 loud unprofessional immature girls that work the desk at night. I will be looking into other gyms.
