I have visited Uncle Bear's three times now and each time, the service and food have been consistently delightful. I feel that the staff genuinely want to be there and want to provide the best possible service so that each guest enjoys his or her visit. I've had burgers on each of my visits and have substituted veggie patties each time; the veggie patties are nicely seasoned and have good texture. I particularly like the sweet potato fries: crisp on the outside, steaming hot on the inside. My husband is a self-proclaimed beer snob and said that tonight's stout was one of Uncle Bear's best beers. (Said stout is a seasonal selection, though.) Uncle Bear's loves their canine companions and guests can see oodles of framed photos of lovable pooches along the entry and bathroom hallways. I'm not certain if Uncle Bear's allows dogs inside, but I have seen a dog or two accompany his or her human on the patio. :)
