My aunt and I were tourists exploring Old Town who happened to get hungry and look for places to eat. Luckily, VPS had a menu out front that had a more affordable lunch menu, so we already knew what we wanted when we walked in.
The place was fairly empty expect for a couple parties and although quite dark inside, extremely elegant, with an Old World, mahogany wood style as we were immediately seated.
Our waiter, who is bilingual, was very helpful and attentive. We ordered the hamburger steak for her and the Chicken Brochette for myself. Although we both ordered salads for starters, she got the cauliflower soup instead and decided to eat it (she's very polite)! To her surprise, she enjoyed it greatly!
The house dinner rolls were warm and plump and lovely. My heart wanted more but my head told me no! Haha!
As my aunt told me stories about traveling the Mediterranean, she thoroughly enjoyed her hamburger steak and veggie sides as I enjoyed my chicken brochette which came with rice pilaf that was soft and delicious and cooked spinach. The citrus salad on the brochette gave it a sweet edge that I haven't had in California and enjoyed it immensely.
We also have to point out that at 12 noon, the bathrooms were impeccably clean and had a lovely scent. I felt completely at home there.
We'll return should we be back. Merci!
