I'm generally not one to write a negative review and I'm cautious to judge a place based on negative reviews. I must say I'm not very impressed. I'm giving 2 stars based on the food alone. While the food was delicious the service was poor at best. We went with friends from out of town for a birthday dinner and all of our plates got mixed up. Not just the plates themselves but each of our steaks was with the wrong item. So we couldn't just switch plates because my medium rare steak was on my friends plate with her crab cakes. So all plates had to be sent back to pair the steak with the right "turf". Once that was fixed one person in the party didn't get their food until all of us finished our meals, we would have waited but then all of ours would have been cold. For a restaurant on the spendy side I just couldn't believe how bad the service was. Again this could be overlooked if they were busy but we were there for an early dinner and their seemed to be plenty of staff to support the amount of seated tables. Aside from taking our order and bringing our food our server didn't check to see how we were one time. While the food was tasty I was shocked to leave a place that charges $50 for surf and turf hungry. I figured the portion would be decent and a side might be too much food but that wasn't the case. That was just our experience there. Had the service and circumstances been better, I could overlook leaving hungry given how good the food was but there were just a lot of let downs that left me feeling embarrassed I picked that as the restaurant to take our friends to celebrate their birthday.
