I was not really that interested in going to see this since I had not seen the movie. My friend and I made arrangements to go-once again, this was not something that could be done with the RTA in Cleveland [their train system]. Since most people drive, we took a cab from our hotel. The house is preserved in the same manner as the house in the movie A Christmas Story. The house is completely hands on-you can open the oven, touch things, put on the bunny suits, etc. There is also a museum as well as a gift shop. We had a guided tour in the house itself after meeting in the gift shop and then adjourned to the museum. It was a very interesting afternoon and the movie has become a cult classic running for 24 hours straight on Christmas thanks to Ted Turner. It is well worth visiting.
