I had a flight to get to a few days ago and I thought that Sun Devil Taxi would be able to get me to the airport quickly with no hassle. I assumed that because they called themselves Sun Devil Taxi, they would be able to get me from campus to the airport in a snap. I placed my reservation 2 hours before my flight and got an email notification that my reservation was confirmed. The time for the taxi arrival came and no taxi could be seen. After 10 minutes, I decided to call the number on the email confirmation and the man that answered sounded as though he had just been woken up with a, "Ugh... yeah?" greeting.
At first, I was sure that I had dialed the wrong number to be greeted in such a fashion but sure enough, it was the correct customer service number. Once I was able to get confirmation from him that this was the correct number for cab reservations, I explained my situation, that I had made a reservation and the cab had not shown up and the man checked my confirmation, was able to see that I had indeed placed it and it was confirmed, but was not able to see who was assigned to pick me up.
He said he was going to look into it and let me know who was supposed to pick me up and why they were late but before I could even thank him for that, he hung up on me. With that, and being 20 minutes behind schedule, I decided to hail a street cab and solved the matter myself.
He never did call me back.
