I wanted to enjoy my dinner at Basil but they didn't make it easy. We were quickly seated and ordered drinks. It took a little bit to receive them but not excessively long. The egg rolls (veggie) were good, but you only get 2 of them. My first gripe was that they would not make their Som Tum (green papaya) salad vegetarian for me by omitting the fish sauce. This is so unaccommodating. Then I asked for no onions and scallions, but they came out with both and the wrong dressing. I believe it was the fault of the kitchen because the waiter did write it down. After waiting at least 10 minutes for my "fixed" salad I still found bit of both onions and scallions, so there's a good chance it was picked through. So frustrating. My husband had the pad thai (small portion) but he liked it and was happy that it had shrimp and chicken. The menu is not that big. For 4 drinks, 2 eggs rolls, a salad and small pad thai it was about $75. We won't be going back.
