My husband and I dined at Otto a few years ago and wasn't impressed. We decided to try it again as the restaurant was full and there was a wait of 20 minutes. Caneletto and Postrio restaurants nearby weren't as crowded. We started with prosciutto fritta (deep fried prosciutto balls) which were extremely salty and over fried, topped with Parmesan cheese that made it even more salty. Next we had an escarole pear salad which was fresh but nothing special. We ordered a tagliatelle pasta dish but received a pork belly ragu instead which was pretty delicious so we ate it and didn't say anything about being served something we didn't order. Ended with a dessert called dark chocolate which was a dark chocolate cake with chocolate gelato and whipped cream and cappucini. Again just okay. Cocktails and wine are pretty pricey. Our server was on the snooty side. Seemed put out when we asked her what various dishes on the menu consisted of. She gave us someone else's check and when we brought it to her attention she just said "it's okay, it didn't go through on your charge anyway." No apology at all! The busboys are really friendly and attentive though. I don't think we'll be giving this place a third try.
