I've wanted to try this place forever because my friend served some of their spring rolls a while back at a baby shower and they were great. It also looks really cute from the outside, and I have heard that they have an excellent back patio though I've missed out yet again on it considering it's now October. If you start off your meal telling the server that you're allergic to MSG and spend a bit of time talking together about ordering dishes that do not have MSG, you'd think you're in the clear, am I wrong? Well I was wrong. Let's just say that my face is still on fire as I write this review and my stomach? Well, let's leave that one alone. I started with the cold shrimp spring rolls. They were fresh tasting though not mind blowing. For my main, I ordered the curried sate chicken on vermicelli. I didn't find the chicken very flavorful and I had one bite that was full of really nasty gristle. There also seemed to be a plethora of lemon basil in the dish which was kind of bitter and jarring. I would really prefer if they stuck to Thai basil. I think the MSG problem must be attributed to the sauce but I could be wrong. The best thing about this meal was the server. Even though he didn't help me avoid food that would cause me to feel like crap, he was really sweet.
