If I could give no stars I would! I became a left above the elbow amp on 8/5/2015 due to a motorcycle accident. I first went to Orthopaedic Motion Inc. for my initial evaluation for a prosthetic on 9/21/2015. I was told to allow a couple months to go by to concentrate on physical therapy to regain range of motion and allow swelling to go down. I was given my referral by my PCP on 10/5/2015 which I turned in. I heard nothing from them for at least a couple of months. I was told that the prosthetists Ed Sisson had left the company and did nothing with my file. He didn't even send approval papers to my insurance for a prior authorization. I then had an appointment on 2/3/2016 to meet my new prosthetists Darren Davis. DO NOT ALLOW THIS MAN TO MAKE YOUR PROSTHETIC RESEARCH HIM AND ASK AROUND. By Feb. my insurance had given authorization for my arm. After all the measurements, castings, socket fittings, etc I finally received an arm in March sometime. The arm was so poorly made and not made to fit my specific needs at all. I complained about a number of things which included horrible gapping, no rotary control, uncomfortable, heavy, and most of all the socket was not made to fit snug. Socket was made of poly ethylene which was used back in the 90's! It is turgid and has no flexibility at all. Derrin never tried to educate me or give me any options that mattered. His concern was matching my forearms, and making the straps black not white, pretty much things that did not matter. From March through May all I received from my so called prosthetists was insubordination and him being highly unorganized. After explaining to him that my arm was very uncomfortable, not very efficient and not at all stable all he would give me were excuses or would tell me "that's the basic" meaning they're content with providing "basic" work. He never tried to come up with solutions to help me with my prosthetic. Instead he would tell me to research things and send them to him so that he could see what he could do. I'm not the prosthetist I'm the PATIENT! I can't say anything about any other services they provide but when it came to my arm the service SUCKED! Not to mention it took them 4 almost 5 months to just provide me with a crap arm. I prey that no other amputee ever receives the same type of prosthetic I did. KEEP AWAY FROM DARREN DAVIS!!
