My boyfriend and I just stayed at the NYNY to celebrate our birthdays and it was a fantastic experience. The young lady at the check-in desk was great when I was having problems with a new debit card (it wasn't activated correctly, easy fix!) and was patient while I worked it out. The room itself was flawless; we had one of the Spa Suites- totally worth the money. It was a corner room and we had a view of both Las Vegas Blvd and the T-Mobile park. We saw Zumanity which was everything I was hoping for (who WOULDN'T want to see naked Cirque dancers?). I would definitely recommend this hotel to other people!
PROS
the spa tub easily fit the two of us (he's over 6ft and still fit comfortably) which was perfect for a romantic evening
bed was perfect; we got less than 6 hours of sleep and still feel great
great service
easy access to restaurants (we loved the deli)
room service was fast
check out was fast and easy and they offer a spot to hang on to your luggage if you want to gambol a little more
I LOVED having a light up makeup mirror in the suite!
Having towels right next to the tub already was perfect
CONS
We're both Las Vegas locals... even something as small as waiving the parking fee would have been great ESPECIALLY since we were actually staying on site or like, free play as an incentive to gambol
STEPS leading up to the spa tub, it was a bit high for me and I slipped getting out; it was a little bit of a safety hazard
I requested champagne flutes and never got them
A slightly later check-out time would have been great
Room Service was fast but the quesadilla tortilla was doughy and the ice cream was freezer burned
A mini-fridge should be a given in a suite
Over-all, my cons are small nitpicks, this stay was exactly the romantic evening that we were looking for!
