Was feeling fantastic today so decided to have lunch at this park. And what a great idea that was! Lemme tell you something, this park is really cute! I mean the location at O'hara close to Fox Chapel shopping area is fantastic and the relative feeling of being far from the city is totally fantastic! It's 10-15 min from downtown Pittsburgh. The amount of green trees surrounding from all directions is reasonable! People of all ages were there, the smell of grilling and BBQ in the air, summer spirits, kids swarming, playing and shouting all over, all of that was just fantastic! The small lake and fountain in the middle attracted Mrs. duck and her ducklings babies. They were ducking my lens but happy and fantastic. Another thing, if you're a treehugger, the sage-looking, dangling their leaves, willow trees are beauty here. So many sports courts there, you name it, baseball, tennis, soccer and lots of areas for kids. Walking trail is decent to take a stroll and feel more fantastic after eating your meal. Only thing I wish there were monkey bars for adults. Wouldn't that be fantastic! The beauty of this park is the feeling it's remote and serene but it's so close to the city.
