I have owned pets my whole life, and lived in several locales, and this is absolutely the best vet practice I've ever had the good fortune to find and patronize. So many reasons!
1. They are open 7 days a week. I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes. You can usually get a same day appointment.
2. They also have emergency hours. Last month I was frantic because at 10:00pm my dog had what looked like an infected bug bite that was driving her insane with itching. I called the 24-hour phone number and was immediately put in touch with the vet who was on call that night. She met us at the office within half an hour.
3. Every single vet employed there (I've seen them all) is knowledgeable, friendly, and will take as much time as you need to explain every last detail. I have received more information, concern, and time from them than I ever have from any human doctor, including my mother's oncologoist who always blew us in and out of his office in 10 minutes or less. ("You have cancer. It spread. See you next month.")
4. They do not charge an office visit fee if you are just there to get vaccines. They have the lowest prices on vaccines and teeth cleaning. Even their products in the waiting room (like Greenies) are less expensive than PetSmart.
5. Three years ago my dog needed his leg repaired (couldn't walk on it). Dr Haddad perfomed ACL surgery on his knee, and he has been walking and running fine ever since!
6. The office staff is friendly and helpful.
I have been taking my two dogs here for almost 4 years. Even after moving to Boulder City, I still make the hour drive to Grand Montecito because it's worth it to go somewhere that is inexpensive, familiar, friendly, helpful, and reliable.
