Cod Fish fry is great here! It's a perfectly breaded piece of fresh cod - you get a nice chunky piece of cod unlike most places in Madison. I'm always on the hunt for the best fish fry in Madison and this is on the top of my list along with Lake Perch Fish Fry from the Seafood Market.
I usually am not a big fan of coleslaw but the one they have here is actually really good!
The portion is well sized. For less than $10 you get the fish, a huge serving of coleslaw, and lots of potatoes. I was stuffed to the brim and couldn't even finish everything on the plate. Love it, can't wait to try brunch here!
Also, I should add service was just right here - quick, efficient, and the waiter was good in coming over when needed. I hate it when waiters/waitresses come over every 5 minutes to 'check' on you when you're in the midst of trying to enjoy your meal. This place does it well between checking in you regularly enough so you don't have to be looking for them and waiting around, and checking so often you're tired of their voice. Kudos to Daisy's Cafe!
