Vegas and museums? Um, doesn't seem right, unless it's a Mob Museum. Needing a break from casinos, a group of 4, decided to venture into old Vegas for something different.
Drove up on a weekday afternoon. Little paid parking lot next to Museum. Museum is located inside a former courthouse built in the early '30's. Stepped inside and there was no line. Price is $23for a standard adult ticket. Yelp check-in you get discounted $2-3.
Museum is 3 levels and you start on the top level. You can take a police line-up photo for a price. They provide props which makes it funny, BUT, photographer takes photo from the side versus front, so the people on the end get cut out.
Lots of photos and reading of the history of mob. As one member of our party noted, "it's like it was created before the internet. But now you can read this all online." Nevertheless, staff is super friendly offering additional info every step of the way. Prior to the movie, you can grab a beer or wine (actually they were out of wine, so I had to grab a Pyramid Hefeweizen). The movie is hilarious. Overacting at its finest. It's a court scene like a gangster 1930's movie; my favorite line spoken by a gangster moll, "and he gave me some money, too!"
Our group had many laughs, hence the 4 stars.
