My Torontonian grandparents frequent this mall for its spacious walking room and inviting atmosphere. This mall has always seemed exceptionally classy and well-established, and through its recent renovations, it has blossomed into something even more polished. It is beautifully finished. Very upscale. Seeing this mall during the Christmas season is always a joy.
There's something intimate and nostalgic about this place, and for that reason, I love it. It boasts a wide variety of merchants for every type of person including The Bombay Company, Sporting Life, Banana Republic, and Shoppers Drug Mart. While visiting, you should grab a specialty tea at David's Tea, cozy up and read a good book at Chapters, indulge in some delightfully creamy ice cream at Laura Secord, maybe pick up a prescription at Shoppers Drug Mart, and check some things off your grocery list at Loblaws. This mall has it all.
My grandparents often grab a bite to eat at Aux Délices Café de Bayview, conveniently located in front of one of the most central exits. Just a hop and skip away from the elevator. This sweet little café specializes in pastries (award-winning!), sandwiches and soups. I've had lunch there twice and have been impressed both times. Once you order and pay for your food, which tends to be a pretty immediate process (nice!), you can enjoy it either in the café itself, or, if you prefer, feel free to enjoy it out in the table area, located just outside the café.
Overall, a lovely mall with great variety.
