The Winchester is your typical smaller, non-descript 'hole in the wall' music venue & watering hole with older decor and Jurassic period ceiling tiles. BUT it's 'saving grace' is the small, intimate feel, and 'close up' view (no matter where you're sitting) of the performers and bands that come through there. There are a few scattered cocktail tables, a few hundred folding chairs, and lots of standing room. The stage area is kind of small. A theatre it is not. It actually reminds me of a large, furnished basement. What makes this place a NE Ohio gem is the variety of acts that it attracts, both obscure as well as internationally known. My wife saw 'The Church' there, and I recently saw 'China Crisis'. Up close with great acoustics!
