So I came back to DB Brasserie for their brunch. Understand that this is a "brasserie". It is not haute cuisine or nouvelle cuisine, a Brasserie is more casual and generally less pretentious food. That being said - we shared the Charcuterie Board duck confit hash, and PEI mussels. Our server was attentive without being intrusive and the food was excellent - served hot, wonderfully seasoned (mussels swimming in a lemon butter broth), and exactly as described. The charcuterie was a thoughtful interpretation of traditional pates and meats enhanced by a delectable assortment of home made pickles-the duck hash was under a perfectly cooked egg and the Mussels were perfectly cooked, had a fresh lemon tang, and were served toast - making for a perfect palate cleansing during the meal. It's casual and relaxed - if you are in a hurry perhaps try somewhere else - but if you're with someone special and don't want to be hurried - try DB Brasserie.
