I was in the market for a new mountain bike and I explored the 3 closest bike shops to my home to determine first, where I would buy my bike. After investing a couple of hours of time in talking to folks at a few of the local bike shops close to me I determined that Brass Monkey would be the best fit for my needs. A bit of an interesting concept of a bike shop in that most of the bicycles they sell are refurbished and rebuilt, and mine is no exception. After discussing with Thomas my needs and wants for a bike, he had me take one for a test ride and after I confirmed that the frame would work he let me know it would be ready in the next couple days. Indeed a couple days later he called me, and said he was ready to let it go, after he took it for a 4 mile test drive himself. Once I arrived to pick up the bike, he than continued to fine tune and tweak it just a bit and he added some accessories such as water bottle, seat color of my choice and both front and tail lights. Knowing that a few of these things were accessories, I assumed it was going to cost a few more dollars. To my surprise, when I was finally ready to ride away on my new bike, he confirmed that the package price he had quoted me for the bicycle included all of the accessories! I thought how awesome is that! I got to learn all about Thomas and his BMX back round since he was a youngster. Thomas and Mike are just 2 guys that are passionate about biking and doing what they love at their shop! I've had my bike a couple weeks now and I ride it daily! Anyone looking for a value on a bicycle, go see these guys and have them custom build you something that will fit your needs!
