If the rating were based solely on food and beer selection, I'd give them five stars. But since the service is generally pretty poor, especially at the bar, I'm knocking it down to four. I love to build my own burger, but also enjoy the California from time to time. The potato salad is my favorite EVER! I can't walk in the door of that place without drooling at the simple thought of it. It would be nice if sides were included with the sandwiches, but they're certainly worth the extra few bucks. Love the heartthrob sauce, especially with the deep fried mushrooms. As I said before, they have a great beer selection. Both on tap and bottled. Any place with a hefty tap beer selection is awesome in my book. Love the dark, cozy atmosphere of the booths and the restaurant in general. I do wish the servers were slightly more attentive and the bartenders friendlier, but I have a feeling they simply don't give a shit. They know you're gonna like the food. **Update: We continue to visit Dotty's because we love the food and the beer selection. However, the service just keeps getting worse. Condescending, eye-rolling, fake nice=not cool. We won't return for awhile.
