In September, I was going to visit the Cleveland area on business and decided to make just a few stops for pleasure, one of which was to The Cleveland Museum of Art. I initially thought of coming here based on the suggestion from a coworker, and he told me that this museum was one of the best in the country. After finding this place on Yelp and seeing the high ratings, I was intrigued. I also noticed that this museum was open late on two days during the week, and this would allow me to visit after my business was conducted. In addition, I found out that visiting the museum's collections is always free to the public. It was then that I decided to make this one of my stops while in Cleveland.
Based on a little information, I assumed I could see everything that the museum had to offer within a couple of hours. That was an erroneous assumption. After entering the museum, I was quickly impressed by the sheer magnitude and quality of the collections here, from every corner of the world. I toured the museum for a few hours, and I was only able to see about half of the collection before the museum closed, so I decided to come back again. I'm glad I did too. Overall, I was able to see most of the collections here, and I read the details related to each of the pieces I saw. To say I was impressed would be a significant understatement.
In short, I highly encourage folks to visit this museum if you're in the Cleveland area. In my opinion, this museum is definitely worthy of a five-star rating.
Over one hundred of my photos at this location have been posted, representing only a small portion of the collections one can find here. Some of my favorites of these are attached to this review below. Check them out!
