Our 3 year old dishwasher stopped heating the water so dishes weren't getting cleaned. I called to get service and was told "dishwashers don't heat the water unless it's a high end one with a submerged element." When I tried to explain that was the case, and ours had a "sanitize" function that previously heated up the water so that steam came out, and it was no longer heated at all, he still argued that it didn't actually heat the water. So instead I called another company that came out the next day, diagnosed a faulty board and flood switch, ordered the parts, and fixed it like new. Water is back to high temp and dishes are clean. I don't know if they do good work, but it doesn't seem like they actually want any the business.
