Of all the See's Candies in the world, this and only 1 other are my absolute favorites. Walking into See's Candies brings back whiffs of childhood nostalgia, from days of when my parents owned a coffee shop in a Californian mall, and I was a designated "mall girl" who could get all the free samples to my grubby kid fingers' content. What makes this See's Candies as equally rivaled to the one from my childhood? Simply Liza.
Liza is the best See's Candies connoisseur. Somehow I can walk into See's not wanting to buy anything, and she'll convince my fat conscience otherwise. If it's not getting candy for myself, she'll get me to buy candy as gifts for others. And it's not because she's pushy. It's because she's genuinely nice and makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, and that makes me want to buy chocolate. She takes the time to explain to me all the assortments of delicacies in the shop. She even offers great tips. Like the time she told me that the raspberry cream tastes like ice cream when frozen. While See's may offer samples, Liza is the only one who chooses just the perfect sample for me to try for the visit. Every time I see Liza, I leave See's Candies happy and with a bag full of chocolate.
Now that I'm a Vegas resident, this is always the See's Candies that my spouse and I go to. There are still so many flavors we have yet to try. We will conquer that shiny display case visit by visit.
