We went to this shop about 2010. The reviews at that time were good, it must have been just after Abe was not longer doing the work.
Based on the reviews at that time, this shop looked good even though it was out of our way to go by.
We took in a pair of good work boots in for a new sole. We explained very clearly that the new sole had to be a hard sole like the ones on them now.
When I picked them up, he had put a very soft sole on the shoes. When I said it had to be a hard sole and I explained that this was the only sole he had.
The shoes were worthless to me.
We asked for them back with the original soles - he said he had thrown out the original soles and he would have to take off the new soles to give us back the shoes, which meant another trip out of our way.
We said never mind and his face lit up - apparently he was now going to sell these shoes - originally $100 of our money that he had only resoled.
What a rip off.
