I took my Faithie (mini Poodle) here today. It was far from me (Town Center). I hope to be able to give them 5 stars if I decide to go back. Hubby and I have to look for a bit more affordable groomer since our family is getting bigger now. I found SOS on FB/Groupon and had good reviews so I purchased the full groom deal. But with or without Groupon, their prices are good already. Im not too picky with a perfect cut, I just want my furbabies clean and not be hurt. After Googling SOS' location and reading their Yelp reviews, I wasn't so excited anymore. But I decided to give it the benefit of a doubt since I know every groomer and pet can work together differently and it may just work out. I haven't bathe Faithie since her last groom, so I just told Lena I didnt mind her not looking fabulous for now and just wanted her clean. I requested a shave down for a fresh summer start. I did ask she shaved Faithie's feet/paws like what youd expect in a poodle cut but Faithie didn't get it. Maybe I didnt explain it properly. But I got a Groupon deal because I'm being cheap so I won't make a fuz. I was almost satisfied but Faithie's ear got cut when they were shaving her. Faithie is now 9yrs old but still super hyper. But Faithie has only been cut once before when still a puppy. Lena admitted it right away, said Faithie jerked while being shaved in the area :/ I guess it could happen. But I am sad for Faithie. I just have to keep an eye on it now. She smelled really good though.
I did find a great and affordable mobile groomer, $50 for a full groom. But the van didn't have A.C. so I can't hire them during summer time. I may still look around or give SOS another chance for the summer because it's affordable.
The area is not the best but its not the worst. It didn't smell on my visit as the other review stated. But I think we're all here because of their afforfable prices. Don't expect a Summerlin quality-looking area/salon if you're only expecting to pay Boulder highway price range. Give this business a break, they're only trying to make a living and are charging just right, so be fair. Not to mention they lose a lot of sale percentage through Groupon.
For their honest prices and doing their best, I do recommend them.
