Umm. This place. I can't knock the good as was really quite good. A bit over done on presentation which they certainly charge for.
The Izikaya style of restaurant is indeed small plates for sharing which I live. Baku have joined Izikaya with fine dining. In my opinion this does not work. Supposed to be inexpensive and pub type atmosphere which Baku is neither.
The waiters are well trained and well informed but this does not help the sell. They don't help you organize the order very well.
Ok Ok. In short. Great food, pretentious attitude and over the top setting. May suit some but if I am going to pay for and wish to have fine dining. I will do just that, not try for the casual sharing experience of Izikaya in a pompous setting.
Good is great but will not return. Sorry. Unless they lighten up. Let me know.
