I can attest to the truth of both the positive and negative reviews posted here. I think your experience will tend to depend on where you focus and what you value. The hotel is conveniently near Hwy 51 and PV Mall, and offers a number of perks and a mostly friendly staff, however it is also starting to feel rather dated and expensive for what it is. Having two TVs is nice, but there is nothing to watch. The pool and hot tub are nice, but small and not very fun when teaming with a school of flying fish: a huge herd of soccer children had taken over the hotel. There is a "gym," but it only has 6 or 8 cardio machines and a tiny rack of dumbbells. Plus, for a 6-floor hotel, why are there only 3 elevators? When the hotel is full, you will wait, and wait some more. So I'd say, it's a good spot from which to have a vacation in north Phoenix, but not such a good place at which to have a vacation. Oh, and one last detail: ask for a room that is NOT exposed to the enthusiastic groundskeepers who blast you out of bed at 6 AM every day with their outrageous gas-powered leaf blowers!
