About 9 pm on a Thursday evening, we're off work for the holidays, and craving sushi. So of course it's time for Sushi Mon! The AYE menu is generous, the staff always friendly, the fish always fresh and my belly always happy and full when I leave. Dang. As I'm writing this review I'm craving it again... I really like their fried calamari - it's lightly seasoned, fresh, and served with a hint of sauce over a small bed of lettuce. Here's a tip: Order from the specials board 1st because items sell out quickly. Be sure to pay attention to the different colored stars since they indicate if you can order 1 per person or more. My favorite for years was hamachi (yellow tail), but Sushi Mon's super white has taken over. So delicate, fresh, and tender. The halibut is also really nice with just a tiny hint of citrus (I think?). I also usually love the Sexy Girl (I order a half roll), but the Crispy Rice with spicy tuna will definitely be a repeat. I always forget my punch card, so thank you for stamping my receipt. Now if I can stop losing my receipts... No matter, it won't stop me from enjoying Sushi Mon's awesome food!
