My wife and I dined at every Mesa Grill. Mesa Grill in Las Vegas can be inconsistent for reasons we just don't know. My wife and I had dinner at Mesa Grill. Pork tenderloin was exceptional and an exact copy of the original version from NYC menu. BBQ duck in a blue corn pancake - another success. Lunch? Cornmeal crusted chile relleno had so much cheese that it tasted nothing like the version we know for years. Different kitchen crew during lunch? Probably. Why wouldn't the chef know that the key to executing this dish is the balance between roasted eggplant and manchego cheese? Too much cheese - and our version was loaded with cheese ... and the dish is done. Not even one star. Biggest disappointment was not even the poorly executed dish. The server did not even ask us whether we wanted to give the kitchen another chance and make it again. We did meet the new general manager. He is a great guy. Hopefully, the consistency may improve with his arrival.
