I recently visited Madison from Columbia, SC. to visit family and they wanted to go here for dinner. They go frequently and said the chicken wings were great. It was a Wednesday night and we arrived around 6:30PM. It wasn't crowded at all and we ordered the wings. I ordered an appetizer of the fried cheese curds and they were excellent. Actually they were the highlight of the meal. My daughter and I both ordered the ranch dry rubbed wings. My granddaughter ordered chicken tenders and my son-in-law ordered the bourbon sauced wings.
The waitress was friendly and she checked back frequently on our drinks. She forgot to put in our order for the appetizer curds and it took quite a while to get them. Actually, all the food took quite long to get to our table which makes me think she may not have put any of our order in right away.
I' never had a dry rubbed ranch wing before and that's exactly what it was. Looked like they had sprinkled a dry ranch dressing on them after they were done cooking. I ordered blue cheese dressing for mine and the it was about the worst blue cheese dressing I'd ever had. Very runny with virtually no blue cheese chunks or consistency. You could see the specs of blue cheese in the dressing but it sure lacked in taste. I'd recommend the ranch dressing even though I didn't try it. My son-in-law liked his bourbon glazed wings. I tasted the bourbon sauce but didn't try the wing. It wasn't too bad.
They had a good selection of beers and I might possibly go back one more time if the opportunity comes, but I find Wild Wings much better as far as the wings go.
