We were moving out of a rental house and needed to have the carpets cleaned. Carpet was only in two bedrooms, one large, one small. In the mail, we found a coupon for carpet cleaning from Green Carpet Cleaning for four rooms for $59.00. We set up an appointment for a technician to clean the two rooms. As soon as he got there, he started to upsell. His first price to "really" clean this carpet was a whopping $179.00! My husband said NO. He then called his "boss" who said he could do it for $159.00. Again, my husband said no, this was just a rental and we were not going to pay that kind of price for carpet cleaning. I was not there at the time, but it I had been, I would have told him to leave and gotten someone else. My husband made him stick to the $59.00 price. What you get for $59.00 for two rooms from this company is steam cleaning and nothing else. He would not use shampoo or any of the "eco" products they advertise. Just plain water steam. When he was finished, there were still indents in the carpet from the beds that had been there. He was asked to rake the carpet up and the technician told him that would be an additional charge. So my husband had to do it himself. The technician also stated that carpet cleaning is now "a la carte". Everything is extra. So if you want to use this company, be prepared to pay and pay and pay.
