Pressure sales at its finest.
They lured me in with a free sample. The man said he would give me something to help me look younger. I said "I don't know if I need to look younger". He said if I don't use eye cream now, I should start. I said "how old do you think I am? " I think he picked a high number! hoping to scare me into buying product. He said "32". I said "no, I'll be 42, so I think my methods are working pretty well for me". Plus... My hubs is 47 and people already look at us like he's dating someone much much younger....why would I want to look younger than I already do?
He then put some goo under my eye and asked how it looked compared to the other eye. Of course it looked nicer...it was moisturizer. I knew after a half an hour it would look like the other eye again...and it did.
He tried to sell me the bottle for $399 and said he'd throw in a free something or other. I declined. He said after a few more minutes he'd sell it to me for half that. Then half of that. I knew it was junk...if it was so wonderful, it would sell itself! No high pressure needed...right?
Here's a tip. If you want to look younger, ditch the stress in your life, stay out of the sun, drink water and use Retin A. That's my secret. :)
