I have three dogs and we've been loyal Petiquette clients for years. I don't know why I kept going back there, other than that it was easier than trying to find a new groomer. My dogs never smelled good when I picked them up, their nails were never done, despite my asking that they be and sometimes they even had sores where the groomer cut too close. Despite that, I always left a large tip for the groomer.
I recently took one of my dogs in for her grooming and as I walked in the door (first customer of the morning), Yuki ran toward me with her hand out in a "halt" motion. It was like "Get out of here!"
I was shocked. She informed me, quite rudely, that my appointment had been scheduled for the previous day. I told her that was impossible as I didn't get paid until the first ? why would I set an appointment for the 31st?
She persisted, however, even calling me a "no-call, no-show," as she tried to back me out of the door. She wouldn't let me get a word in edge-wise but kept on rudely telling me that they had no room for my dog that day and that I'd have to call to make another appointment.
It really wasn't WHAT she said, but how she was speaking to me: raised voice, snotty attitude, etc. To a loyal client with THREE DOGS. What's wrong with calmly telling a client that "there must've been a misunderstanding because we had you scheduled for yesterday. Unfortunately, we're booked today but let's get you set up with another appointment?"
So, yeah, I made another appointment. With Yuppie Puppies in Silverado Ranch who is now my new groomer. My dog smelled WONDERFUL when I picked her up.
