This would've been a perfect weekend in Vegas. The rooms were upgraded to a semi-suite on the 44th floor of the brand spankin' new Augustus Towers. I heard horror stories of sanitary issues at the other towers so steer clear of them and request the Augustus Towers. Marble floor bathrooms, flat screen HDTV in the bathroom and over the bed, and jacuzzi tubs. Caesar's is in the center of The Strip, conveniently located next to the Bellagio, has its very own shopping heaven, and you can spend an entire weekend just in the hotel with its swanky restaurants, forum shops, and lounges / bars / night clubs. I was extremely disappointed with how Caesar's staff handled my lost item. It was a trench coat my mother gave me and has sentimental value that money can't buy. Granted, I will admit it was my fault for being negligent on my part, but their response time was another story. Had they responded right away, I really think that somebody would've found my jacket. Nobody returned my calls literally for 6-7 days in the security department and housekeeping department until I tracked down the Director of Operations and threatened to talk to the GM. First they redirected me to the claims department. Then 2 other departments where I had to retell my story each time and have various security guards look into this. Of course this led nowhere. They finally handed me over to an external claims vendor to "investigate this issue." 3 months later, I received a letter from them saying that Caesar's is not liable for my lost item and that this "case is closed." I am angry because we left a very generous tip for the housekeeping staff and the frontdesk staff who upgraded our rooms, and this was not your typical budget weekend. I'd hate to think that any of them (housekeeping, security guards) were responsible and this experience left a bitter taste in my mouth. If you lose or forget ANYTHING at Caesar's, don't expect to ever get it back. Learn from me and double, triple check every closet and door before you check out.
