All of this flavor out of that little truck.
Anyone who knows me knows that I swear by Showcase BBQ in Homewood as my favorite barbeque in Pittsburgh but it always nice to see what other places have to offer and compare them to Showcase.
I had heard great things about the Southside BBQ Company and had been meaning to try the South Side location for some time but, I hate driving over there and trying to find parking is a pain in the butt.
I was ecstatic to get a email stating that their "CarnivoreMobile" would be parked right outside my building for the day so I said screw what I brought for lunch and grabbed a couple of my co workers and went to go check them out.
My co workers all got either Bar-Ba-Cones or BBQ Pulled Pork Sammys. I went with the smoked wings and a side of the Pepper jack Mac N Cheese. The wings were huge but, still juicy and full of smoked flavor and covered in sauce. The mac & cheese was just as good. Very creamy with just the right amount of cheese.
I just wish they gave you a larger portion of it as once you've eaten it all you will be moving the rest of the food in your container around looking for a little more of that delicious mac & cheese.
One word of warning, the wings are very messing so don't wear light colored clothing and be sure to grab a ton of napkins as you're gonna need them!
If you ever see the "CarnivoreMobile" out on the road be sure to follow it to wherever it's going so you can sample their great barbeque for yourself!
