Not on the lower end of the hotel price scale, but not too on the higher end either. You can get relatively good prices depending on the dates of your stay and how far in advance you book. It's a not too far drive from Cleveland and just around the corner from one of my fave restaurants (heart attack waiting to happen) in Ohio -- MELT !!! I have visited this hotel several times, and it is the only hotel I will stay in when visiting Cleveland, Ohio. I had a one and only time not so pleasant stay at another hotel in the area for a cheaper cost and I would'be paid double to get myself out of there. I am always greeted very kindly and the staff there goes above and beyond to accommodate you. On a few occasions I've arrived early and was able to get a room before check in time without getting charged an additional fee. I book your basic double/queen room, nothing overly fancy. The rooms are spacey and cozy, and have a cute vibe when you walk in. I can feel that my items are safe while staying there, and even more so that my car is because they have a parking lot free of charge that is easy to access your car right away, unlike many, if not all hotels closer to the city. Everything always seems clean. The amenities included are nice. I love that I have a sectional/couch area on the other side of the wall divider to just chill out on. And the beds are super comfortable. I could waste a day of vacation sleeping in there - ask my friend - it happened. I have had rare occasions where sometimes the shower won't drain fast because the water pressure is so high... It's not a problem for me as long as it's not sitting in the tub for multiple days and people in my room that all need to shower... but if this happens the staff will do their absolute best to find another room if it is available to make up for the issue. Also love the free breakfast in the morning. Fresh fruit, cereal, bagels, cottage cheese, yogurt, muffins, waffles, pancakes, egg mcmuffin, etc. My favorite is when they have spinach florentine Benedict. It switches daily so you never know what you will walk into but they always have fresh cooked options and I love that they do it right in front of you too. Definitely don't miss the breakfast, it's the best part of the stay for me at least. I walk down straight in my pajamas, makeup all over, slippers on, nobody dressed in their business suits cares. From check in to check out, I've never had anything other than an overall good experience while staying at Hyatt Place Independence.
