I bought my wedding dress from an "off the rack" shop that carries one-off dresses from years prior. This means that you do not get to order it in your size. That being said, my dress was easily a few sizes too big. ;)
I found Valentina through Yelp and decided to give her a try. I was looking for someone who knew what they were doing but also needed to stick to a pretty strict budget. I took the dress in to see her reaction. I could tell it wasn't a typical alteration. However, she was honest about what it would take and seemed confident regardless.
I came back two weeks later for the first fitting. I thought it had come a long ways, but Valentina was the one who said it needed to be better. She scheduled me for another appointment, and two weeks later if was perfect. She put extra time into what needed to be done and charged me the same flat rate she had quoted from the beginning. Her prices were so reasonable from the places I had called. She also insisted that I did not have to pay until the dress was completely done and I had approved it.
