A trip to the ER for a wound that wouldnt heal landed me in the hands of Dr. Alexie.One word to describe my care- amazing! He was quick to treat my conditon, after cultures were taken, with aggressive antibiotics that would do the job properly. He was very concerned that the infection could have gotten to my bone. Dr.Alexie didn't take any chances; he ordered a bone scan and an MRI to be thorough. Results did show fluid around the bone he was quick to bring in a surgeon and order the correct care I would need to take care of my injury. He was able to get my insurance to approve an oral antibiotic after my release so I didn't have to continue with an IV antibiotics for my severe condition.
