More corporate giant than quaint gem. Nice patio. Good but spendy entrees for the portion size. Desserts are great value. Scripted (versus engaged) service. Visited on 3/09 based on several coworkers' recommendations. Surprised to see it was in a giant shopping mall. A quick Google revealed its one of a vast number of concepts in the parent company's portfolio (many of them also in the same mall.). With that as our expectation mindset, we were promptly seated on the patio at our reservation time. House made foccacia was more like Wonder bread than real bread. Ordered entrees. Sea bass and duck/goat cheese tortellini. Very tasty but surprisingly expensive. (Mall rent?). Wine list expectations were misled by the giant wall of bottles at the entrance. Turns out most of those are empty and purely a facade. Did order a couple glasses that were decent. Waitor was minimally useful with his recommendations. ("It all depends what you like. They're all good.") Ordered two desserts. Brown butter cake and ice cream bar. Both were excellent and a good value at $5 each. Waiter was not familiar with them though and struggled to describe the ice cream bar. Bottom line. Fair meal. Lived up to our "large company mall restaurant" expectations. Excellent patio.
