I've been to 2 bikes shops this day looking for a new kick stand with no luck. It was hard to find anyone to give me the time of day. Remembering the excellent service I got when I purchased my bike I decided to go back to where I bought my bike only to find out Bathurst Cycle has sold out to Batemans Bicycle. I liked the former Bathurst Cycle, they were very nice and I even referred several people to them that purchased bikes. I wasn't too sure about the new ownership being able to measure up. Well what a surprise, the service was amazing, they took my bike in right away for a $15 kick stand even though they seemed busy and it only took 15 minutes. While waiting I bought a new light $50, $20 mirror and new pannier bags ($250 in total). They installed everything on the spot and no extra charge. The other places I went to that day dismissed me and my needs. Urban Cycle wanted me to make an appointment for later that week and leave my bike for half a day. Full of attitude and no service. Thanks Bateman, my bike looks amazing, love my new pannier bags and the $15 kick stand works better than ever. I live far from here, over in Riverdale and this place is on Bathurst North of DuPont. If I ever need a tune-up or accessories, no matter how small, I would go out of my way to go see these guys. Sincerely guys, thanks! You didn't just fix my bike, you made my day! I can't stress enough the importance of going a little out of your way to keep the good guys in business. These are the good guys! Do you agree?
