Nora's used to be one of my favorite restaurants in town and definitely my go-to for Italian. But since the change of location... it hasn't been the same.
First, the parking situation was horrible. On a Wednesday night, there's no parking... people were parking in the dirt or the plaza across the street. There is always a wait.
Most recently when I went, I made a reservation a week ahead of time for a party of 12. We arrive on the dot and ended up waiting 20 minutes for the table, only to find the table to be very cramped for the large party. The service was horribly slow. We had to ask multiple times for the [delicious] bread. We waited probably around 1 hour for our main courses... which came out dry. We ordered a good variety from pasta to fish to fillet mignon to osso buco. Nothing was prepared right. The meat was over cooked, the pasta was oily and you can tell it was sitting under the heater too long cause the sauce was dried onto the plate around the edges, and the flavors were just not there.
I understand this place is busy, but the server just never seems to be around. They never seem to have the beer selection from their menu.
Only redeeming thing is the busser was always around to ensure we had water and drink refills.
Anyone got good recommendations for a new Italian restaurant? I'm open to suggestions at this point.
