Just moved to the area, and based on all reviews I thought this is going to be my new to-go nail place. It was Friday afternoon, and salon was empty (one other lady was paying and leaving......). I asked for mani and change my toes color. That did not make the girl happy, almost like my request was a waste of time. Guess what - your salon is empty, so any business is good business. But whatever, I brushed it off, everyone can have a bad day, right? I wanted regular mani (no shellac and no gel nails), she was upset about that as well and said something in her native language to other girls. It was clear she was expressing dissatisfaction in my choice of services. I have healthy strong nails, thus I don't want any permanent stuff on them - is that a crime nowadays???? I have lived from San Francisco to NYC and I've never been to a salon where you're charged extra $$$ for nail polish. Apparently, they have very limited color choices in "regular" nail polish and the rest is "4 dollars..." Mani was already more expensive compare to other salons in the area, so $4 on top of that was just too much. My mani was ok, but nail polish had air bubbles and started peeling off next morning (She did a bad job clearing massage lotion off my nails before putting color on.) All in all, everything was a few dollars more expensive than other places, attitude was crapy, and I am not coming back.
